Ahh 2020, what a crazy year to be a florist. The pandemic’s impact on the wedding industry as a whole is nothing short of devastating. We did what many wedding vendors did at the time, we recalibrated and changed direction to take our blooms to the people with #bbdelivery!

Now we’re in 2021, and amongst all the chaos that COIVD-19 is continuing to provide, we have a BB Baby on the way! That’s right, our founder, Rachael’s little bump is due in December.

This means Botanica Bird is stepping into the family-friendly chapter of the business to create a sustainable work/life balance that can withstand snap lockdowns while continuing to support the local community.

A farewell to wedding florals for Botanica Bird

Weddings have been a major part of Botanica Bird’s story from the very beginning. The wedding industry was Rachael’s first foot in the door as a budding florist and has continued to be a source of happiness and creativity throughout the years.

We’re very grateful for this time in our business adventure, but it’s time to take a step back and re-centre ourselves at home.

NOTE* We are still fulfilling all currently booked wedding couples floral dreams. Bring on our 2021/2022 weddings - we are going to be closing this chapter with a bang!

Bunches delivered to your door

While maintaining our environmental ethos, Botanica Bird will continue deliver skilfully arranged locally grown bunches straight to your doorstep.

Every one of our blooms are 100% Australian grown, meaning your bunches will feature seasonal blooms grown by Australian flower farmers and freshly picked from the Sydney Flower Markets.

The delivery wrapping is 100% compostable. They’re wrapped in kraft paper, bound with Australian cotton cord, wet wrapped in compostable sleeves and stickers.

We deliver our six iconic bunches to all City of Newcastle Council suburbs every Wednesday through to Friday. Please note that our delivery service is completely contactless and only available to residential addresses.
